Fiber Friends Spinning Event

We welcome you to come spin yarn with us at the historic beautifully restored Sweat-Morin Homestead! No matter if you are a new spinner, experienced, or someone who wants to learn about spinning yarn — we are happy to have you join us. If you have a spinning wheel that needs some TLC, we have a guy who is happy to assist you. Knitters and weavers are welcome too!

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
Spinning wheel, spindles, etc.
Folding chair
Rug or cloth to protect the floor
Drink with cover
Lunch
A happy smile

Depending upon the weather, we may sit to spin inside the house or outside on the lawn.

In addition to the spinning event, guests are invited to tour the meticulously restored Sweat-Morin Homestead grounds until 2:00 PM, including the historic home, carriage house, barn, and family cemetery — or walk the expansive wooded trails.
