Fun for the Whole Family

Families can enjoy some of the best amusement and water parks in the Northeast; Funtown Splashtown USA, is the state’s largest amusement and water park. The area also boasts Maine’s only IMAX movie theater and The Saco Drive-In, one of Maine’s last classic drive-in theaters. 

Biddeford beaches include Biddeford Pool, a large tidal pool with a two-mile stretch of sandy beach. Fortunes Rocks boasts a wall of rock, then sandy beach, and great surf, while Hills Beach has over a quarter-mile of sand. In Saco, Kinney Shores and Bay View are welcoming and family-friendly; Camp Ellis and Ferry Beach mark the southern tip of an unblemished seven-mile stretch of beaches. Arts, Culture, and Shopping

Spend time in our museums, historical society, and the City Theater—considered one of the most acoustically perfect in all of Maine. Be sure to include a visit to our specialty shops, featuring everything from fine foods to home décor. The Shops at Biddeford Crossing is home to your favorite larger retail chains and grocers. Head to the Saco Valley Shopping Center, featuring Renysa Maine adventure.

Getting Here

The area is easy to reach via the Maine Turnpike, US Route 1, or the Amtrak Downeaster, and by air into Biddeford Municipal Airport or commercial flights into the Portland International Jetport just up the road.
